NEED MORE PROOF?

Still don't believe that I've got some guys who will build our park for us? Or you might doubt these dudes' abilities? Well, these pictures of Mammoth, CA or Aztec, New Mexico might clue you in.
Another Mendocino transplant, we'll call him by his Alias: Scooter - was the main culprit in the construction of these epic parks. And just like any great skate spot should; they've come equipped with built in BBQ pits. Scooter prepares the steaks...

WHO WILL BUILD IT??

Some of you are probably wondering "who's gonna build this thing?" While at first we thought we would pay out the ass for some fancy company like DREAMLAND or GRINDLINE, or the infamously expensive crappy designs of WORMHOUDT (which Ukiah estimated will cost upwards of 1 million dollars); And lately we've been talking with pro skater and recent Mendo transplant Lincoln Nass (pictured above, wearing one of our shirts, skating his own creation), known in many circles as the "Fresno Pool King," about getting him and his army of concrete carnies to build the Laytonville Skate Park for close to damn near free. WHAT?! How? Why?
Because these die-hard pool skaters/bowl builders are tired of watching small towns shell out truck loads of cash for crappy designs, when they could be built by skaters for skaters at low cost. Plus they get to flex their creativity and skate it when they're done. On top of that, they really like our neck of the woods and wish to help us along. WHAT NICE GUYS!!
How do we know they're wizards of concrete creations? Because I have skated Lincoln's and Scooter's bowls, and let me tell you: These guys are bad asses with trowels. Plus they'll show us how its done, so we can get our hands dirty: Help them build the thing, and have the skills to add more elements when the dudes aren't around.
This is gonna be a real grass roots effort, from start to finish.
Just look at Washington Street Skate Park (San Diego) or Channel Street Skate Park (San Pedro), or some of the backyard creations featured in a few Bacon Skateboards flicks, or a couple of the backyard bowls they have already poured in our area... These are the guys who built ‘em. And all they ask is that we pay for gas, food, lodging and materials. SICK!
Laytonville’s skate park will basically be a DIY park, but the land will be pre approved.
Of course, we will be expected to provide excavation equipment, which shouldn’t be hard considering the large contingent of folks with equipment who want to help us out already.
RAD!
